Recipe for 1 l syrup:
5 oranges (organic)
6 lemons (organic)
1/2 ginger nodule (ca. 50 g)
250 ml orange juice (freshly squeezed) + zests of 3 oranges
250 ml lemon juice (freshly squeezed) + zests of 3 lemons
500 ml water
1 kg sugar
10 g citric acid
Wash 3 lemons and 3 oranges and peel off the zest of the whole peel.
Squeeze out the oranges and lemons until you have 250 ml of each juice.
Wash the ginger and cut into little pieces (you don’t have to peel it).
Put the water and the sugar in a pot and let it boil up. Take off the stove and add the juices, critric acid and the zests and let it stand for about half an hour.
Sift everything and let it boil up for another time. Fill up into boiled and sterile bottles. ❤
Tastes great in sparkling wine or just in mineral water. ❤
Enjoy – Bon appétit! ❤
