Toffee Apple Brownie ❤
Recipe for one springform pan (24 cm):
60 ml apple juice (naturally cloudy)
170 g applesauce
60 g cocoa for baking
300 g brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. ground vanilla
175 g flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon (ground)
1 pinch of salt
150 g dried and crispy apples (the recipe also works without them)
15 toffees
Some margarine
Preheat to oven to about 160 °C (320 °F) upper and bottom heat.
Line the springform pan with baking paper and grease the edges with some margarine.
Mix the cocoa, applesauce and apple juice together. After that fold in the sugar, the eggs and the ground vanilla. Then stir in the flour with the cinnamon and the salt. Mix very well until you have a nice smooth dough.
Chop the dried apples and the toffees roughly. Then fold in the apples into the dough and put it into the springform pan. Spread the toffees on top.
Bake the brownies for about 25 to 30 minutes. Test with a wooden pick if the dough is ready and no more dough sticks to it, bake until that is the case. Let the brownies cool down in the springform pan.
Its very delicious with some caramel sauce on top. ❤
